🎂 Bertholet Flémalle (1614–1675)
Born on May 23, 1614, in Liège, Bertholet Flémalle was a prominent Baroque painter. He trained under Henri Trippet and Gerard Douffet and later worked in Rome, Florence, and Paris. Flémalle contributed to the decoration of Versailles and was appointed professor at the Royal Academy of Paris by Louis XIV. His works include "The Glorification of the Holy Cross" in Liège's St. Bartholomew's Church.
