Ordering a painting from Mathias isn’t just buying art — it’s becoming part of a creative journey.
From your idea to the final brushstroke, this guide explains how your vision transforms into a one-of-a-kind expressive canvas.

Step 1: Choose Your Format

Start by selecting:

Layout: vertical, horizontal, or square
Canvas size to fit your space
Stretcher type:
- Standard (2 cm deep)
- Thick 3D (5 cm deep) – ideal for display without framing

Step 2: Share Your Vision

Tell us what you’d like to see. This could be:

a cityscape or street you love
a landscape, building, memory, or mood
or simply a color palette or atmosphere

The more you share — photos, keywords, color preferences, references — the more personal the result.
Or leave creative freedom to the artist and just give a rough idea. Both are welcome!

Here are some helpful prompts:

Theme & Mood: What should the painting express?
Details: Are there any specific elements to include or avoid?
Colors: Preferred tones or symbolic hues?
Composition: Centered subject? Open space?
Inspiration: Any reference images or artworks you love?

Step 3: Contact & Consultation

Mathias will review your request and confirm availability. You’ll receive:

A response with feedback
Estimated pricing and timeline
Answers to any follow-up questions

Step 4: Digital Concept

If approved, Mathias creates a digital concept sketch using a graphic tablet.
You’ll receive a preview and can suggest refinements (colors, layout, elements).

🎨 Note:
The final painting is created traditionally, using Mathias’s signature style — a bold, expressive finish with strong black and white lines.
This spontaneous, emotional touch is part of the artwork’s essence and is not modified after painting begins.

Step 5: Confirmation & Payment

Once the design is approved, we’ll send a pro forma invoice.
After payment, the physical painting process begins.

Step 6: Work in Progress

Your artwork comes to life. You can choose to:

Receive behind-the-scenes photos
Or wait for the full reveal as a surprise

Either way, the anticipation becomes part of the experience.

Step 7: Delivery & Celebration

The finished painting is carefully packaged and shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity.
It’s more than decoration — it’s a story you helped shape.
